@nellshamrell Do you consider a small coding exercise with no time limit on their own laptop (or one we provide if they don't have one) a whiteboard interview? We leave them the room, come and check every 20-30m, try to relax people as much as possible.

@nellshamrell And with that, yes we have filtered some people out. Usually people who fail to explain their reasoning or why an edge case does not work.

@nellshamrell We used to allow internet access as well. Now we don't because we saw a lot of copy/paste from SO, which prevented the goal of the ex (check their logic, code style and mastery of the language they chose). Though if it was up to me I would have left internet accessible
