          @seldo I read the editorial and I don't really agree with the tweet you subtweet. They say it so clearly - they're not mixing up the first amendment wth this topic. I rather thought it's well valanced from both a liberal and conservative PoV (as much as I can tell from afar)

        @seldo What they seem to say is that in polls, many feel that they will be attacked by what they want to say - and it seems to be felt across the board. I would find that rather worrying, no matter my personal views

      @seldo It's an interesting topic though, because there are clear differences between the US and western EU in that matter; some clear and in the laws, some more cultural which are difficult to pinpoint. I always felt them, and somehow in the last 5 years I feel like they've been fading

    @seldo By fading, I mean that e.g. both France and the US are moving in the same direction, despite coming from different points. Moving towards more useless debates, more radical positions.
