          @scalzi I don't really get the uproar about this oped. They clearly say that it's not what they're talking about - my understanding is that Americans report this feeling, hence they talk about it. This certainly covers republicans feeling 'canceled', but also women or people of color.

        @scalzi Maybe I lack some context, perhaps it's the fact that being able to voice these opinions as a 'fundamental rights' that upsets people? I personally don't think it is (Europe has a more strict 'your freedom ends where the one of other people begins' vision - in theory)
