@cedrickrier Nonsense. It's not an advanced signature but it is a perfectly fine electronic signature. You don't need advanced or qualified signatures as a general rule in commerce. Jurisprudence has shown it again and again. Pushing for complexity is an annoying reflex of IT people.

@cedrickrier Definition of an electronic signature in EIDAS text: (10) ‘electronic signature’ means data in electronic form which is attached to or logically associated with other data in electronic form and which is used by the signatory to sign;
-
@cedrickrier Article 25 1. An electronic signature shall not be denied legal effect and admissibility as evidence in legal proceedings solely on the grounds that it is in an electronic form or that it does not meet the requirements for qualified electronic signatures.
-
@cedrickrier Combine these two, and the only side-effect is that your simple signature can be challenged in court. But providing sufficient proof is not difficult if your system is well built.

@cedrickrier A blob of meta data is frankly better than a blob of ink. I signed bank papers manually and scanned them with my phone 6 months ago. Frankly I would have preferred a simple electronic signature to that kind of shitshow 😅
