      @rvalyi @kiketobella SMS is not in any way, shape or form a secured way to verify someone's identity - see e.g. sec.okta.com/articles/2020/05/sms-two-factor-authentication-worse-just-good-password and other online resources. In Belgium and most of Europe, at some point we will have our e-identities to sign (e.g. itsme in Be/Nl/Lux and soon France)

    @rvalyi @kiketobella But even then, I don't think the heavy machinery of advanced signatures is worth it. Signing a contract comes with many proofs, communication before or after, etc.

      @rvalyi @kiketobella There is seldom any issue regarding who signed. Legal precedents showed this again and again, e.g. an 👍 emoji by SMS is a valid way to sign a commercial contract (I think that was in Canada), or 'ok' by sms to buy a house in Belgium some years ago are examples that come to mind
