@Lanhildy @PedroMBaeza The goal of the change is to make it easier for future developers to get into the odoo ecosystem with less idiosyncratic stuff, like this one. Is it annoying for existing Devs? A bit, for sure - but it will make life simpler/less confusing in the long run and onboardings simpler.
